Guest guest
They are trying to pass the Melania Bill http://www.house.gov/conyers/mold.htm IS anyone willing to write their congressman to ask them to suport this bill? My Story I purchased my home from HUD with a settlement from a Job Injury in 1993. The House was built in 1934, abandon and needed some repairs. I had friends and family help fix up the house. The walls were wetplaster. The plaster in the bath was dry-rotted and I got the flu after ripping it out. The neighbor said the former owners had a major water leak, collected on insurance and moved out, 2 years before they lost it to back taxes. In 2001, I noticed Mold growing on a roll of white Cat 5 Phone wire, I had in the basement, it was not around any water leaks. I did not know mold was bad for you, I just cleaned it when I seen it. I started seeing mold growing on the doors, windows and the dressers in the basement. I started having ear infections that did not go away. I asked Dr. Myers If the ear infections could be from the mold and he just said it could be and nothing more. I told the ear specialist the same thing. I switched Doctors to Dr. Young and told him about the mold and ear infections, he cleaned my ears and said he did not see any mold in them. I started having Headaches, chest pains, rashes on my legs , my heart was beating in my ears at night. Dr. Young gave me a EKG and a heart monitor to wear at night. In the spring time the symptoms seem to dissipate. From year to year the symptoms got worse. I got a humidifier to help with the rashes on my legs. Brining the Humidity to 40% stopped the rashes. I got worse, insomnia chronic Fatigue, memory loss, confusion, difficulty breathing. I learned about mold from a news report of a girl , with cancer and her house was being torn down and rebuilt from mold. She died before the house was finished. I seen ten times as much mold in my house, as this house they were tearing down. I searched the Internet for information on mold and found http://toxic.mold- help.org. The information from the experts were no help, but the stories from the people suffering from mold convinced me to get a mold test kit and when mold showed up in the air, I move out January 2005. I stayed at a Hotel until I seen a Environmental Dr. Harbut of Roal Oak and called in a Mold Microbiologist Expert, Dr. Mark Banner. The mold expert did not find that much mold in the house, but made recommendations and a report. Insurance company denied my claim. I threw out all the furniture, beds, carpets and books. I got a trailer because I knew it would take time to fix the house. I started felling better after moving out, the waking up at night with my heart pounding in my ears, went away. I had more energy. However, I went back to the house to fix it and started getting worse. I wore a mask inside the house But I stated to cough up mucus that would grow mold on the Kleenex in a few days. I was coughing heavily and went to the emergency room. I thought I might drown on the mucus. I asked for a sputum test to see what it was in my lungs. The symptoms went away in a few hours. I kept going back to the house and kept getting worse. I did not even go inside the house just did yard work and I got black and blue marks all over my body. I went back the emergency room and I thought it was some kind of Ebola Virus or something. The black and blue marks are gone in two days. The mold expert said not to go back to the house and I have not returned, not even to get mail or check on the house. Last week I woke up with a bloodshot eye and severe eye pain. Dr. Harbut said to go to the emergency room, there was a ulcer growing on my eyeball, I believe it is from the mold in my trailer. I have to find another place to live and have my things professionally disinfected. There is no filter on the furnace and I can smell dust burning. A lot of Cottony dust is one the furnace, it might be mold, I cleaned it off. I HAVE TO MOVE OUT. I caught up some mucus with a few drops of blood in it yesterday. Go1@...
