Guest guest
Hi Mygla, with me it has been mostly a trail and error . I have omitted sugar from my diet, except chocalate, hehe, one of my biggest graveings, my body tells me what I can have or not have. if you have problems with smells like perfumes, chemicals, gases, exc.MCS, multiple chemical sensativitys, you have to make your home as free of these things as possable. here we have some shampoos, laudry detergents, and soaps with lesser perfume smells, again its a trail and error or if you can get a friend to do this shopping for you that is not ill from mold, they can smell different products for you, and get them for you so you dont have to get sick just trying to find these products. no question is stupied here, we all have many unanswered questions. > > I hope it is ok to ask you here this silly questions - but I have been > alone for so long struggling to find out what fits me - because NO one > can advise me in the whole country - Iceland. > I would really like to know if you have a database for what works for > you and what to avoid - I know that everything doesnt fit all - but > can give you a good idea though. > Do you have this database or can we make it here? > > How do you handle aspartame and saccharin - do you use it instead of > suger or skip it at all? > > What do you use to wash laundry or in the dishwasher? Guest guest
Hi Mygla, Emu oil? Who makes this product? I too am looking for products that might be good for MCS. I think this part of it is the hardest. We started the diet, 5 weeks ago this Wednesday. Very hard the first couple of weeks. But, getting easier. But, the health changes are amazing. You asked about sweetener. Stevia is the sweetener that we use. It was also recommended by several on this board. Has quit a different flavor, than other artificial sweeteners. We use white vinegar to clean everything with. If I am feeling like I need a quick fix of a room refresher (I love those, and miss them dearly) I use essential oils, lavender & lemon. But, some on the board can't even use those. So, yes everyone is different. It is trial and error as many have mentioned. Our family is still in the trial and massive error state. LOL But, we are learning and will continue to. It is just hard to give things up you love soooo much. I think the 2 hardest things for me to give up is fabric softener, softener sheets, (ohhhhh-I can never get enough) this will begin tomorrow. The things that almost sent me into a daze that I have given up, is my most favorite perfume, (ohhh-I loved that perfume, would even open the cupboard several times a day just to smell it-maybe it was not a daze, it was more withdrawal.hehehe) and the room sprays. But, I know it will be worth it in the end. This group will be such wonderful support for you. They are wonderful. There are so many people here, who know all sorts of things, in different areas that you have a full support group. (that's my opinion) Good Luck, [] A few questions from Iceland .... Guest guest
Thank you for this info. too. I just can imagine me standing in the middle of Meijer reading every label, and sniffing all of them. Being able to atleast narrow it down is going to be wonderful. I'd rather have 5-10 to narrow it down to, instead of 30-40. hehehe Thanx, Re: [] A few questions from Iceland .... > It is very hard as so much bothers me > Soap Dial antibacterial...I can seem to haandle that > Deoderant Dove fragrance free > Shampoo Suave daily clarifying > Spray for counters and stuff seventh geberatin. > I am going to try seventh geberation laundry soap.
