Hello group,

I have a patient that I have been working with for the last 8 months for Grave's dz.

She is a 37 year old female and wants to have a child.

We have worked with many rounds of Undas to address the thyroid and glandular system, the gut as well as the autoimmune dz itself. We have used Cornus, Viburnum Gemmos, nutritional support, Thyroidinum 9CH, and Avena tea, Lycopus and Leonorus, Iodum MK. She had also been on Methimazole without any help and then PTU which helped but she developed a reaction to it. The naturopathic treatments have been minimally helpful but she has been very diligent about them.

Now she has decided to get the radiation treatment because her symptoms are very disruptive and she needs it to be under control if she is going to have a healthy pegnancy. We have discussed this extensively and she concludes that this is the best choice for her.

My question is regarding supporting her from this time forward. I have not treated anyone yet who has undergone any type of radiation treatments and would like some advice. We want to help her detox from the treatment as well as support the thyroid that will be going hypo soon.

I ahve given her unda 2,20,258 to begin after treatment and antioxidants. SHe's also on other nutritional support, extra Selenium, B comples, Fish oil, Flax/EPO, COPs, HMF, Calc Fluor 6x (for her exopthalmos). I also gave her Thyroidinum 4CH to begin after treatment.

Other suggestions would be helpful.

They also said they wanted to put her on Prednisone after the treatment because they say that the eye dz can worsen just after treatment and this could hellp prevent that. I don't know what to do about that and she's afraid to not do it.

I am also wondering if using a glandular Thyroid supplement would be safe at this time or not. Not sure if I would use it anyway but just a thought.

Thank you in advance,
