Guest guest
DISLIKE INSURANCE COMPANIES? READ THIS; New for 2006 Jim Mooney, webmaster: www.micethatroar.com www.corporatecrimefighters.com We are well into the New Year already, there will be some major changes I will be making to the site, www.almostbroken.com First, for anyone that has high-speed Internet access, you will be able to see actual clips from the movie almost broken. I have put together two clips that I feel get the message across and can be seen by clicking the link on the first page. This will help bring awareness to everyone , that this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed by all of us. Those that are seriously injured are not getting the medical care they need. The insurance companies that are dragging things out, taking years to approve much needed medical care and benefits. Sometimes, by the time people do get care, it is too late and permanent damage has occurred. Delay and deny are the words of the day. While the insurance companies are pocketing their profits, and investing their assets, the American people wait for a hero to take a stand and say enough. Almost Broken started as one story. The story of Larry Nign, who suffers through his fight everyday to bring justice to a corrupt system. After working over 20 years on his job, living the American dream, the heated plastics he worked with finally took their toll. The insurance company that once accepted his injury claim for two years, would later deny it, even coming to his home and taking his much needed lung treatment machine. So he fought back, for himself and for everyone that would have to suffer the same indignation. He fought for his then young family.. He tells the story that no one wants to hear, that no one wants to believe, and that should strike fear into the hearts of the American public. Larry Nign has been forced into poverty and as much been given a death sentence. Yet, he committed no crime, He worked hard at his job to provide for his family, to be a responsible citizen of his country. He was a quiet man that never bothered anyone and only expected that the insurance company that his employer paid premiums to would take care of him should something happen to him. His repeated pleas to our elected public officials for help and justice, have fallen on deaf ears. Larry's story is not the exception, but the rule. One strong story has joined with yet another. Two different people, two different insurance companies, and yet the same story. Barbara , R.N and nurse practitioner, worked at an Adventist Hospital in Bakersfield, California. In 1994 while helping to deliver a new life into this world, a patient kicked her in the head. Kicked her so hard that her jaw was broken . She was knocked into a cement wall and lost most of her teeth. Her spine was seriously damaged. Anyone would think that this was a case that would certainly be taken care of quickly. Her work related injury would be accepted as a work related injury. And yet, to this date, there has not been any acknowledgement of her injury. Instead, she has been followed, video taped, threatened, and now has lost her home and is homeless. Imagine for a moment coming home to three small children, beaten and bloody and not being able to provide for them because of an arrogant insurance company hiding behind the mask of a faith-based healthcare system .. Even with multiple court orders in her possession for medical care and other benefits guaranteed by the state constitution , the Adventist owned hospital has refused to comply with these orders and pay for proper medical care. Instead they spent thousands of unnecessary dollars to hire " vile conniving and despicable " attorneys to continue to fight her claim. She can not get even our top state officials to step in and take action to see that she receives justice and the proper medical care that she has been denied for some 12 years , . She is yet another injured worker being denied justice Everyday, thousands of people across the county fall into this maze of deceit Hundreds will die this year and thousand more will be left crippled and their families destroyed because they just want to be a productive citizen of this country. Because they dared to educate themselves or dared to live the American dream. And again, the pleas for help from our elected government officials have fallen on deaf ears. Families from around the country are being drained while insurance companies make a huge profit. All is needed is one elected official to stand and make a difference. Where is the outrage? Everyday that you go to work, you take your life in your hands. We all expect that we would work in a safe environment and if something should happen, we will be taken care of. That is simply not the case. So we need to ask ourselves why do we continue to allow our government, our state, and our country, to let this continue. We need to demand that elected officials protect us and not their careers. Show that you are taking a stand to say enough is enough and support the efforts that are being made on your behalf. Elected state officials have ignored our pleas for help in favor of big business. The documentary, Almost Broken, was conceived from a website of a brave man standing for the truth. It seems only fitting to promote it and the awareness of this atrocity through web sites and emails. Everyday we receive emails from our friends that have been forwarded. Some of them promise that if you those emails to 10 people, you will receive something in return. We forward those without thinking about it. There is no such promise here. But I ask you to forward this email to everyone that you know and please ask them to continue to forward this to other folks and help us build up thousands of names to show those that we have elected, those we have entrusted to do the right thing and not give in to the power of the insurance industry, that we are standing up and making ourselves counted. Please continue to forward this email to everyone you know. We started with one story, we added another just as powerful. Let's spread this message to everyone around the country and around the world. One person tells another who tells another and let this grow till we can stop this genocide of the American people. At this time, we are actively seeking distribution of this powerful documentary so that everyone has the chance to see the truth about how we, as people, are disposable in the workforce. It seems we count only when a politician needs votes. This is an election year' let's show them how we feel about being injured and cast aside. With you help we will continue to show the truth about the greed of insurance companies, and uncaring elected government officials that continue to condone the abuse of our rights. You can forward or cut and paste this letter into your email program and send to all your friends. Thank you for helping in this most important grass roots movement. Sincerely, M.
