The conundrum is that those who need the information the most are

too brainfogged to understand it. "

Exactly and that's why I mentioned this and that YOU and other experts

gently in lay terms answer some basic questions rather than having them read

a book they cannot comprehend.

" That's why I feel that the only true solution is to get some

foundation or coalition to get a small fleet of specially

constructed mold free trailers to use as a refuge and a teaching

device.

I agree and this has been a dream of mine for some time. And that's why I

suggested YOU are the one who has the ability, the drive, the intelligence

and knowledge to start a foundation and get necessary funding.

Once you've accomplished that, bought the land and trailers along with a

staff of medical experts in their own building to provide appropriate

treatment, we need to disseminate the information to the public and then

have an infrastructure in place to visit the mold victims, help them with

the preparations for the move, if they have children to contact the school

system and make arrangements for the children, provide transportation for

them, etc. Then once they are stable, how to integrate them into society to

support themselves. Question would be how/who decides who will come to

this refuge and who is turned down since thousands need such a refuge.

>>>Those who understand the problem have to get people out - and into

an area where they can regain mental function sufficiently to

understand what has happened, and what they must do about it>>>

I'm with you 100%. I wish this would have been available to me when I was

exposed. I wish my friend who is living in a moldy home whose husband

refuses to acknowledge her illness and will not allow her to go outside HMO

network would have this opportunity. Question is WHO is going to pay for

this?

>>>Those of us fortunate enough to have bailed out and reclaimed part

of our brains need to study the book and help explain it to others. >>

Totally agree and hope you will find time to post more on this group. Don't

know if you have any contact with Dr. Shoemaker; if you do perhaps you could

convince him to answer some of the more difficult concepts and you forward

his answers to the group. Think that's possible?

>>>The people who are completely lost amidst an ocean of clueless

doctors need to get the book and attempt to relate to those of us

who have put a lot of effort into understanding the concepts.>>>

Can you contact Shoemaker to see if he will give the members of this group a

special discount?

>>>If we work together, maybe we can make better sense of it.>>>>

Very wise . Bravo and thank you! I think one of the wisest statements

you've made. WE need to work together to help each other, those now ill and

in the future. I'm so proud of you for stating this! We need to share our

knowledge to help each other. There is strength, hope and answers if people

unite for a cause.

* : comments: And honestly never mind trhe fact that frankly Dr.

Shoemaker's writing is not very easy to understand. He meanders from story

to story (and I have read Desperation Medicine and Mold Warriors) and it is

difficultr to find summary information within his very interesting stories.

For those that need to the point information to give to their doctor or

sound bites to understand the importrant points, thney are sorely lacking in

Dr. Shoemaker's writing.

He has not done himself a service by writing in the folksy style that he has

because it makes it very difficult to translate what he has found into step

by step instructions, symptoms, lab findings etc that can be quickly given

to our own practicing doctors nevermind those with residual cognitive

dysfunction and brain fog and CNS system issues and declining health.

Thanks for your honest response. I remember when I first became ill

and couldn't even read and comprehend the daily newspaper. It was so

incredible frustrating.

A while back a bought Dr. Schaller's E-book called Mold Illness Made

Simple (almost 160 pages) and found it to be a wonderful, informative and

easy to read book giving me all the basic information on toxic mold illness,

remediation, diagnostic tests, some protocols, etc. I recall posting to the

group that this E-book should be in everyone's home. It's the perfect

primer and book for those with cognitive dysfunction. I'd like for everyone

to have this book because we know 1/3 of the buildings are contaminated with

mold and more will be in the future. If people had this book to educate

themselves, to know the symptoms of toxic mold illness, where to look for

mold, pictures of mold and steps necessary to remediate their homes much

time, damage and human injury could be avoided. The pictures in the book

are very helpful. The average person isn't going to read Dr. Shoemaker's

book unless they are ill; however Dr. Schaller's Mold Illness Made Simple is

fun and easy to read and very helpful.

Dr. Schaller shared in the E-book how to remediate moldy books which I

really appreciate. I'm an avid reader, have over 600 books and often shop

in used book stores trying to find more; especially out-of-print alternative

health books. Often they are musky smelling and I did not purchase them.

Thanks to Dr. Schaller I can now purchase these treasures, clean them and

safely use them. So excited to know this. Have friend out of state that

has a $250 moldy herbal book she's been holding for me for 2 years. I can

finally ask her to send it to me.

I think Dr S. performed an incredible service by " colloqualizing "

his information to the greatest extent possible in an effort to make

it accessible to the greatest number of people.

You should try to read his technical papers!

I can barely able get through three words before I'm totally

stymied.

This is a difficult subject, or average doctors would already

understand it, and the folksy style is far easier that the

usual " Shoemakereese " that almost nobody can understand.

Rosie, the measures you describe implementing suggest that you are a

PIR 4 who is very closer to becoming PIR 5.

What is your backup strategy and which evacuation procedures have

you planned in the event that an inflammatory event or extraordinary

exposure tips you from " Unrealistic to just pack up and leave "

into " Impossible to remain any longer " ?
