Hi Dan, Welcome:-))

There is no connection between Kombucha and ground mold. There is no mold

whatsoever in healthy Kombucha.

If mold does appear, it looks like the mold you see on bread or fruit and it

is best to throw the Kombucha away.

Fortunately, mold doesn't happen very often, - I've never had mold in ten

years of making Kombucha. It helps to prevent mold from forming to add at

least a cup or more of starter KT- some of the liquid from a previous batch

or a small amount of pasteurized vinegar if the KT isn't available when you

first begin. I also pour another cup of KT on top of the Kombucha Colony to

prevent mold. Seems to work very well:-))

BTW It is entirely possible that some, or all, of your allergies will clear

up after you have been on KT awhile. That happened to me and many friends of

mine too:-))

KT = Kombucha Tea

Happy brewing!

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

Subject: Allergies to ground mold:

Happy Holidays all,

Having allergies to ground mold in which higher humidity days effects me,

should I be cautious with this tea?

I just signed up for this group, and am looking into this tea for arthritis

and diabetic 2 conditions. Should I be concerned about trying this tea if I

also have allergies to ground mold?

Dan
