Bless you Carl for sharing this. It brought tears to my eyes.

How quickly we who have been injured forget we must be sensitive and

respectful of others rather than just focusing on our injuries, pain,

frustration, anger, immediate needs and wants.

" Ode to Joy " we can sing having learned so much through our illness and

being able to provide some support and assistance to others; even if only a

kind word of understanding and acceptance of their illness and pain. So

often " hurt people hurt others " and don't realize how they affect others. We

so need to respect and support each other. If we don't, how can we expect

others to do this?

You are a perfect example of " Ode to Joy " having recovered from your severe

illness yet have chosen not to forget those still in desperate conditions

and freely giving your time and knowledge whenever possible.

Really appreciate the story Carl and well written. Very

heartwrenching, but at the same time inspires us to continue our

fight until our illnesses and the cause of are completely

acknowledged.
