Start talking of secondary metabolites, weaponized, the definition of volitiles, etc...and one is sure to have them asleep in a matter of minutes! It's a fine line, Engish without offending those who work with the science. This issue is far to complex to explain in sound bites. But nothing gets done unless one can explain it in sound bites. And there in lays much of the problem of moving the science forward. It also allows great freedom for those who stifle the science by using the complexity of it to further the confusion.
