Guest guest
Mushrooms may be placed directly on the skin. They are astringent in nature and may cause a slight sting at first that soon goes away (assuming one is not allergic to vinegar). I have used them often in treating dogs hot spots where the skin was very red and bleeding. After the initial reaction the dogs would comfortably settle in. Almost immediately the dogs would stop the constant biting and scratching. The next day the skin would be noticeable better. Unfortunately this was symptomatic relief and not a cure for the root cause of the disorder). Mushroom also work immediately on severe burns. The mushrooms may be young still clear or old and grumpy. You may also cut out little eye holes and use it as a face mask which rejuvenacs the face nicely. The one caution is the sugar content, although sugar does offer some medicinal qualities of its own, if too much sugar content (in either the KT or the mushroom) then the sugar may crystallize on the hair or become somewhat sticky. Very well aged KT may also be used externally. Makes an excellent foot soak and works well on stubborn fungus, or simply to freshen your day. aged KT or mushrooms are very safe and act as disinfectant. refer to the recent studies that Bev posted (Get the Lead Out! and Kombucha Antimicrobial Activity) Ed Kasper L.Ac., Acupuncturist & Medicinal Herbalist http://HappyHerbalist.com eddy@...
