Guest guest
When " CFS " broke out in Incline Village, the argument that everyone used to try and destroy our credibility and make the epidemic disappear was that no-one had ever seen such an illness, therefore it couldn't exist. But after a number of years, people started to adopt a strange " reverse " strategy of saying that CFS deserved no special attention because the condition is " normal " and " common " . Once they changed from " impossible " to " common " , they could then say that the only thing that had changed was the intensity of our complaining. Sometimes the very people who said it couldn't exist because they had never seen it before are the very ones who now claim that it has always existed but is nothing special. We are seeing the same thing with " mold illness " . All the people who faced a total wall of denial, with virtually hundreds of doctors and ALL people insisting that no such thing could be possible are now starting to say that it is no big deal because it is so common. This is the strategy that attempts to change your " Impossible illness " into the realm of mental illness as a result of somatization over something that is common but minor - except in your hysterical mind. It is an argument that doctors resort to when they wish to avoid examining an emerging phenomenon. Those of us who watched mold illness go from " virtually impossible " to " So common it isn't worth considering " can see this happening, and can point to countless examples of total denial as evidence that their arguments are contradictory and an excuse for their disinterest in this type of complaint. We should not let doctors get away with this strategy again. " If mold illness is so common, then why did you say it was impossible? Guest guest
What that situation indicates is that they (dishonestly and unprofessionally) have a desired 'result' in mind (perhaps no legal liability) and they are tailoring what they say to result (they think) in that situation. But this strategy can be exposed because it always fallsthe same way.. (if it was a random situation, the distribution would be random) Its just like in politics. When you have a group of covert-aggressive politicians who have a certain result in their mind as what they want to achieve, but they can't actually say that, instead they pursue all sorts of other, seemingly unrelated strategies that will (what a coincidence!) result in funneling money and power away from group X and to group Y, and nomatter what the situation, the result is always taking away from group X and giving to group Y, sooner or later, its obvious. And the entire system loses credibility in a very serious way..
Guest guest
true, and something else I've came across is doctors not wanting to be involved in a lawsuit, and by doctoring you they fear haveing to get summoned to court, and medical malpratice is aways theri first consern. > > What that situation indicates is that they (dishonestly and > unprofessionally) have a desired 'result' in mind (perhaps no legal > liability) and they are tailoring what they say to result (they think) > in that situation. > > But this strategy can be exposed because it always fallsthe same way.. > (if it was a random situation, the distribution would be random) > > Its just like in politics. But in lieu of getting wretched muck all over a perfectly good baseball bat, I think that every mold victim should carry a copy of Mold Warriors to shove in their doctors face. " Don't YOU tell me mold illness is common and minor until you have my HLA DR and Complement Activation Factor results back! Guest guest
I think what needs to be done is that we need a set of test's that can confirm our illness is real beyond any doubt. Pet Scans for abnormal activity, immune disfunction test's that focus on antibody responses and also look for typical factors common in other immune related diseases (lupus, ms, als, etc., metabolic rates, heart palpitations, respiratory distress (similar to the babies in Cleveland that had bleeding in their lungs from mold) anything out of the ordinary. Look for past exposure histories of toxic chemicals test for those. compare us to other syndromes like gws, agent orange etc. Because Dr's bank so heavily on psychological components let's humor them and test for this. It would be nice if they would take this diagnosis as seriously as any other diagnosis. I never understood why a Dr can be sued for malpractice if he misses cancer but if they miss tens of thousands of deathly sick people with a patently obvious disease because they banked on a hunch! No accountability here?????? Really?? Identify the specific species of mold that patients react to through double blind testing and patients response. Measure brain wave activity of patients with the most advanced means available not just some outdated 50 year old technology. Measure brain chemical activity and anomalies that set moldies apart from general population stress test's The majority of these test's need to be performed twice, once when the patient is at a baseline, and again when the patient is exposed. These test's need to be done under the scrutiny of a unbiased third party that can verify they were done correctly and not falsified. Also forensic data from autopsies of people that suffered from years mold exposure can glean some light on what damage goes on internally inside our bodies. Some of this information might be able to help diagnose mold reactivity in a living patient and help us understand the dynamics of the disease. I have never doubted if I can feel so miserable that I feel like I have been poisoned and I am dying, it's got to be patently obvious to someone with all of the technology 21st century medicine has to offer. How can it be possible that this disease has gone undiagnosed????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I am a high school drop out if I can figure this much out what does that say about the Rocket Surgeons out their that say I have a psychological problem? Where are all the results to test's like these that can be easily performed? If they don't exist how come? Just a small red flag for doubting 's out their. It's one thing to be so open minded your brains fall out the back of your head but it's just as bad if not worse to be so closed minded that you discount everything without a little wee wee bit of thought. And this includes not trusting authorities as if history has not proved this fact time and time again.
Guest guest
Rosie & Members, T-shirts are available and all the information that you need, along with bumper stickers and magnets for your cars, they are in the files. I could contact the company and see if we can design one with Mold Warriors, which I like too. Batball caps, t-shirts, but I do like the thought of s, a bat.... lol KC > > > >>On Behalf Of erikmoldwarrior > > > >>What I REALLY wanted is " Mold Warriors " printed on a baseball bat so > that it would make a better impression on a doctors brain.>> > > Giggles that would be a bit too much for some of us; however why couldn't we > find a company to supply us with baseball caps and T-shirts with the logo > " mold warriors " and we start wearing them in public to generate questions? > Lol if anyone is interested I could check around for costs. Guest guest
, I agree with most of what you have to say. The tests are available and have been for a long time, not speaking of mold related illnesses or exposure, but have been accepted for many other autoimmune disorders. They just don't accept these tests for mold exposure, convienently. These tests are performed by Dr.Marinkovich, Dr.Gray, Dr.Shoemaker, Dr.Croft, and many, many others, but these tests are being refused by the insurance companies because they are not FDA approved for this condition. But yet they are approved for many others. I have seen pet scans and spect scans that show abnormal results, but some of the courts will not accept these for this again, type of condition, claiming it's experimental. And we don't understand enought about them. Again, you don't have the same response from the medical industry/insurance companies questioning these tests for other medical conditions. You don't see this in courtrooms, just mold exposures. Almost all medications that are on the market are now prescibed for a condition/illness other than what it was originally manufactured for and yet we (our doctors) have to beg, and jump through hoops to try to medications approved that will help us. Up to this point they have roadblocks put in their way each time. Our courts/judges are going against (not all the time) expert medical opinions, evaluations, research that are either treating or seeing this condition constantly. We (meaning in my case have been through many psycholgical evaulations and they are all consistant with the results,(some independent)that there has been a toxic exposure, not necessarily to what. All were in agreement, EXCEPT for the " shrink " that the defense repeatedly uses. His opinion, she is a liar and a fake.... It sounds like this guy needs help and should get help somewhere soon. And this includes not trusting authorities as if history has not proved this fact time and time again. - That " unscientific skepticalism " on the part of doctors is PRECISELY the problem. Doctors think that it is " unscientific " for them to take anything into account that has not been " proven " . " Proven " , to them, means " proven by a scientist " and has nothing to do with actual reality. It just means that a " peer " has to tell them not to burn their ass by leaning against hot stove. Anything from a lay- person is just anecdotal evidence until a doctor personally burns his butt and " proves " that the stove is actually hot - and relays this to his colleagues in the form of a peer reviewed paper. That's why I wrote the following warning about the psychological state that prevents doctors from coming to grips with reality: Epidemic of Mental Illness in Doctors ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The emergence of Medically Unexplained Illnesses has revealed an epidemic of behavioral problems and personality disorders in doctors. Patients expressing unfamiliar complaints to their physicians often induce the, " It's All In Your Head " (AIYH) or the " That's Impossible " response in doctors suffering from these behavioral problems and personality disorders. Physicians who manifest the metaphysical belief system of " If we don't know about it, then it doesn't exist " are suffering from a mental defect or psychological condition known as " Doctors with Unexplained Medical Beliefs " or D.U.M.B. DUMB doctors are comprised of two categories that are characterized by those who are feigning to be DUMB for monetary gain: " Medicalingering " and those who are not in possession of sufficient information to render intelligent diagnoses: " Factlessitious Disorder " . Physicians who are predisposed to this condition place an inordinate emphasis on theories of psychological causality for virtually any unfamiliar complaints that are presented to them. This somatiform obsession with psychological etiology, " Psychosomatization Disorder " or " Psychologizing " is a distinctive characteristic of the mental illness and should be considered a warning sign that the individual is not rational and may in fact be DUMB. DUMB disorder may be concomitant but should not be confused with Signs of Thoroughly Umistakable Physician Intelligence Deficiency or " S.T.U.P.I.D. " since a STUPID physician is uniformly incompetent while a DUMB doctor is only mentally paralyzed into " psychologizing " by unfamiliar symptoms and complaints. An immediate investigation is warranted to assess the prevalence of DUMB and STUPID doctors and to determine the impact that physicians suffering from these mental defects have on the health care system and their patients. -
