Guest guest
Am currently working with a 24 y.o. male with 8 years of marijuana use with strong central and posterior alpha, alpha peak frequencies all over in the low to mid 9s range all over, and low coherence everywhere except parietal where its in the 50s. That's one case. .. Larry , PhD155 East 38th Street (corner Third Avenue)New York NY 10016212-697-5990llewis@... Question about marijuana & alpha Dear Everyone & Pete--I remember from our trainings with Pete that extended marijuana use can lead to elevated levels of alpha all over the head. I'm curious whether the changes in alpha are also that PF starts to drop and/or whether it contributes to low alpha coherences. Does anyone have any information about whether this might be the case? Thanks.Tamson
Guest guest
Tamson~ Normally I think you would see high frontal alpha coherences. ~ Question about marijuana & alpha Dear Everyone & Pete--I remember from our trainings with Pete that extended marijuana use can lead to elevated levels of alpha all over the head. Guest guest
High alpha amplitudes, especially in front; lowered alpha peak frequency; poor alpha blocking. Those are the things I've seen consistently with significant use. Couldn't say about the coherences. Guest guest
Dear Larry, I will be visiting New York towards the end of June and would love to meet a psychologist who uses Neurofeedback as a major part of their clinical work. Would it be possible to arrange a visit to your practice during my stay? I have been using the BioGraph/ProComp system but would view myself as a "beginner" in this field. Guest guest
, Do give a call when you're here. Leave your time availability if my answering machine picks up and I'll call back with some possibilities. I use BrainMaster hardware/ BioExplorer software and am not at all familiar with ProComp/Biograph. Do you want names of people who use that system?
