Guest guest
Hi All We're back from Salt Lake with our amazing results! Siobhan started in her first cast in June of this year with a 45* Lumbar curve. Her thoracic was around 30* and was considered the compensatory curve. In this, her third cast she in now at 0* for her lumbar curve!!!!!!!! Isn't that fantastic?? Her thoracic curve, unfortunately is still sitting at around 20-25*. Ideally, I would have like another cast or two to get the thoracic curve down to 0 too, but Siobhan is scheduled to have abdominal surgery next Feb/March, and will need to be out of a cast for it. So, she'll go back into a brace with the knowledge that if/when she needs it, Dr D'Astous will cast her again. (And thats the biggest peace of mind for me!). Her experience at the Shriner's in SLC was as fabulous as her previous trips! She was treated like the princess she now thinks she is! LOL! And LOVES it there! We met and Madison (what a little cutie she is!!!!), and got our visit(s) from and Kylie - Hi Friends! I will post a photo of Siobhan in her " Christmas Cast " soon. Its so cool she is refusing to wear a sweater to school today! Brrrrrr!!!! Happy Thanksgiving. Jacki
Guest guest
Yup, " us " Canadians have a smaller version of Thanksgiving in October, but as I'm from England, I tend to save my turkey for Christmas! Though, everyone at Shriners said " oh good you'll be home in time for Thanksgiving " !!! LOL!!!! I hadn't realised before this trip, quite how big your Thanksgiving holiday is.... Enjoy your turkey:) Jacki > > > Jacki, > I just realized that Thanksgiving is an American thing!! LOL > I guess you are so close to the border though so you probably know all about > it. > > Crista

Im so happy to hear about her curve! One down one to go!! I wouldnt sweat it about the gap in casting or the second curve numbers! Just remind yourself how great shes doing now compared to before!!! You are in good hands! Keep it up! Nothing but POSITIVE THOUGHTS!! You are a great mom doing a GREAT job!!
