Hi! I posted for the first time not too long ago. My daughter,

, has infantile scoliosis as well as Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Currently her curve is at 57 degrees. It has been there since

January. We finally got an appointment to see Dr. in Erie.

We are scheduled to go on July 12th for a clinic visit. If Dr.

agrees with 's local orthopedic and determines that

she needs to be put in a cast, we are scheduled for July 13th.

I have spent these past few months researching and know that this is

our last chance to hold her back from getting any worse. But now

that it is scheduled - I am very nervous about this. I am so

concerned about how she will deal with it. She is so bright and

such a happy child. She is not yet walking (low muscle tone from

syndrome) but she is very mobile crawling. She is sooooo happy

getting around and I am so scared she will not be able to get around

any longer. She was so miserable in the TLSO - she did not even try

to get around. I know that her mobility is secondary to the

importance of getting the curve progession stopped. I am just

hoping that some of you can tell me how your children responded to

casting. Where they walking yet?

Sorry for such a whinning email. We have just found out we are

expecting our second child so my emoitions are not very stable right

now!

Thanks for listening.
