******I have been taking vitamin/herbs since 1977 and yes if you are allergic

to " corn " you can have reactions. If you were not allergic to corn then it

would appear that the things you were taking were causing what we call a

Herxheimer reaction. These detox reactions can be nasty, however there are many

things you can do to lighten the herx. I'm the queen of finding things that can

lighten a herx, as I went through some herxing, that I felt like I had to

improve 20% before I could even think about

dying....LOL

******Corn is a cheap filler and used by a lot of companies, that is why it

is important to know the company you are using. I don't buy my vitamin/herbals

from Cosco, Sam's, grocery stores, pharmacies, Walmart, K-mart for many

reasons....Most importantly you don't know what fillers they are using, you

don't

know how they are manufactured, stored or transported. Pesticide issues are a

big one for me with vitamin/herbs...... PLUS, you don't know if you are getting

the right dosing and if they have been exposed to pesticides. I have had

people tell me, " I buy from Walmart and have never had any problems. This could

be true, but you must ask yourself, what else am I getting in these products

and am I getting the right strength? Am I throwing away money, not knowing

what I am getting?? Am I ingesting pesticides? What standards are the companies

using to process these products? Do they have their " Certificate of

Analysis? " .......I'm very picky about what I take. Yes, I'm on a fixed income

but I

watch for sales. I live in Arizona and transport and storage is extremely

important because of the extreme heat. These detox reactions can be nasty,

however

there are many things you can do to lighten the herx. Another very important

issue is, do I really need this product? You can drive your problems deeper

if you are not taking quality products and if you are taking products you

don't need. NO THE FILLERS......make sure there is no corn, yeast, starch,

salt,

wheat, rice preservatives, artificial colors or magnesium sterate. These are

just a few things I look for and stay away from in vitamin/herbals.....

I'm not one that keeps my mouth shut. One nurse had on so much perfume and

when I ask her to change clothes and wipe the perfume off her she got snippy.

Wrong thing to do with this lady....I called administration and had the

Administrator, Director of Nursing and RISK management in my room....The nurse

was

ask to go home shower, change clothes and come back to work NOT SMELLING.

Another thing is hospitals must have a marriage going with PineSol!! I

requested

that they not use it on the floor I was on, when they hesitated I reminded

them that I would call Administration, Director of Housekeeping and RISK

management....needless to say they complied. After each surgery I beat it to my

alternative doctor to have a

Glutathione IV......this washes the toxic anesthetic out of your brain/body.

I also took with me all my herbals/vitamins and my daughter brought up my

food, as I call hospital food " chew and choke " .....ACCKKKKKkkkk makes me wretch

to even think about hospital foods....

è have been dignosed with caterax in one of my eyes,

è double vision in the other, I know my vision problems

è were the result of mold exposure,I often had little red

è dots on my eye lids and swelling(vasculitis) but I dont

è know if the dignoses is correct on the caterax. if it

è really is caterax, I would like to have it removed, but

è Im scared. It was dignosed by a regular doctor and

è they give you a mild senative for anixity. I told them I'd

è need a strong one to let someone mess with my eyes.

è and because I have a alnmost oppisite reaction to

è drugs, I just have not been able to go threw with it.

******I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this....Can you find an

Ophthalmologists to examine your eyes and not a regular doctor? Their exam

methods do not cause so much anxiety, IMHO. Plus, they are use to dealing with

patients that have anxieties when their eyes are messed with?? I hope you can

get these problems rectified, so that you get your vision back with

comfort....
