Elvira They are out of Texas. Their website is HOBB. Janet A, the woman, who heads it, is a feisty woman. Her husband is a doctor. She recently helped to win a great battle against KB Homes. Their binding arbitration clause was found to be not binding. This allowed home buyers, who were forced to make the builder do what he promised in the first place, the ability to pursur restitution through the courts. Not that anyone wants to go to litigation. But it is a right all of us should have if we cannot receive justice any other way. Another great group that pursues this issue is HADD - Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings. They are out of Kansas. Another great feisty woman, Seats, runs this one. Both groups are a wealth of info regarding fighting for your rights should a builder not live up to his promises. Both have cross over members who have also been physically damaged by mold. Sharon

Guest guest
Court buildings, firehouses, even some schools have been reconized and helped with mold problems, but not homeowners or renters. Commonwealths don't have the same laws as real states and only go by federal regulations if they feel like it at the time. __________________________________________________

Always remember that. You helped them to understand why they became ill. You did help and they will share with others. That's what this is all about. Word of mouth from person to person rather than remaining in the dark. I'm sure if you had a lot of money you would have given them the money for a safe home and to pay for their medical bills---but that's not within your ability. You did exactly what is your responsibility as a caring human and what you are able to provide.....more than most are doing. Rosie

Elvira [] Re: Homeowners For Better Building yes, I've heard some horror stories from PA, was playing a game one day and someone was talking about being sick with some one and I quickly knew what her symptoms were describing. I asked a few questions and she instantly connected and told me this was what was happening to her and others at a court house,(cant remember where but in PA) it was bad (leaking pipes) and she was very ill, I gave them some web sites and they couldn't get no one to take mold test. I sagested they contact the local news paper and they did, mold test were done and the last I heard, they were being givin a choise to move into a trailer, but she had gotten so sick she was off from work.-her co workers said. the mold problem and its severity was being denied, as usual. they also had just heard that toxic mold was bad, but didn't have any idea this was what was makeing them ill. it made me fell really good to help them, but at the same time, sorry that I couldn't do more. -In , cose <cose33@...> wrote: > > No such thing in PA...Take it from me...buyer beware!! > > > > --------------------------------- > Brings words and photos together (easily) with > PhotoMail - it's free and works with . > >
