Guest guest
I'm in Ft myers!!! mark Mushroom Available in South Florida? Hello, i am new to Kombucha but definitely hooked. I tried it at a friends house in Canada and I wish I would have taken a mushroom home with me. But here I am in South Florida, craving the tart taste and I don't know where to start. Is anyone in South Florida that can provide me a mushroom and tips for our climate? Thanks in advance. Calan
Guest guest
I tried something mentioned in post 93. They sell this commercial raw Kombucha at a local health food store. I decided to try using it to start a brew. When I went to the store the two bottles I bought actually had two small transluscent scobies already starting to appear. I made the tea and then used an entire bottle (16oz) to use as a starter. I used two honey jars that are 1 1/2 quarts each. I did this on December 16th and it was ready on the 28th. A nice scoby had formed to the size of the container I had put it in. I started a second batch this morning using 1 1/4 cup of the starter batch. The website for the Kombucha that I bought is http://naturezone.net I bought the 100% Kombucha. They also sell another called Synergy which has some juices added...very tastey but not good for tea making. Jeanne > > Hello, > > i am new to Kombucha but definitely hooked.
