Guest guest
You might be pleasantly surprised when you graph the CUMULATIVE SUMMARY graph that any DESIGN with Export Statistics defined generates. (Export Statistics is an option at the end of the Design Menu's Option list) There is a big difference between the INTRAsession graphs (as you describe) and INTER session graphs which are neatly generated in numerical, text-only format (to be opened and graphed in EXCEL). Also- How are the changes IN THE PERSON'S LIVES? That, of course, is going to be the trial by fire in all cases. Best, trends I have now done a couple of hundred neurofeedback sessions on family, friends and clients. I love the results I'm seeing (mostly), but don't really understand why I'm not seeing more progress on the trend object during sessions. The measured bands seem to just sort of go up and down, without any real change toward an improved activation pattern. I haven't been worrying about it because I figured the important thing is that the client does well, and I still believe that. However, I do wonder about it and am curious about what other people see on the trend object. for MobileTake with you! Check email on your mobile phone. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
, Would you care to share how you do this? I've managed to import the cumulative data to Excel, but haven't managed graphing it yet. Guest guest
sorry for my slow responses Deborah. I detailed this- BUT REALLY DETAILED about a month ago. Check out the BE archives at for a message from me called something like Step by Step. Wishing you the very best in your training! >From: " wheelihan82 " <wheelihan82@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: trends >Date: Tue, 23 Aug 2005 00:32:45 -0000 > >, > >Would you care to share how you do this? Guest guest
Dear - I'd love to try out the Cummulative Summary graph you mentioned, but I can't find it. Are you talking about BioExplorer or some other software? My Design menu options (in BioEx) ends with Export Settings, not Statistics, and there's nothing like the cummulative summary in there. Am I missing something? thanks and best, Kat trends I have now done a couple of hundred neurofeedback sessions on family, friends and clients. Guest guest
Kat, You're right. It is export settings- not export statistics at the end of the Designs menu. What you configure there will be exported in three files. Where these exported files appear is defined in the Preferences menu. (use the Browse BUtton to select the Target file). That is- IF you are autogenerating session file name=- (also in the Preferences menu). If not autogenerating, the exported files will be saved to wherever you direct them. NO STATS ARE EXPORTED IF the session was not RECORDED (Record on Play is a good box to leave checked in the preferences dialogue). The cumulative file accumulates based on the DESIGN's filename and the Target folder. So if you have a folder that never recorded a session using a specific DESIGN, then a new cumulative file will be created. If you rename the Design, a new cumulative file will be created. IF you use the same folder and the same Design multiple times- the summary lines will accumulate in the cumulative file and you will soon have something to graph!!! >From: " Kat Duff " <kduff@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: trends >Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2005 16:02:45 -0600 > >MessageDear - I'd love to try out the Cummulative Summary graph you >mentioned, but I can't find it.
