Guest guest
a, Yes, this is the new baby. It is white because it is new, After you harvest it and use it to make more it will get darker with each use. Also it depends on the tea you use, the dark teas make the culture dark fast than the green or white tea. Sounds like your culture is perfectly normal and there is nothing to worry about:) Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Hurray, this is the new baby growing. It always grows closest to the surface of your brew. At harvesting time this will be a new culture for you which you can either use together with your original culture to brew another batch, or use to make a separate jar of Kombucha tonic or give away to a friend. It's good, good, good :-)) Congratulations, a! Guest guest
If you have just started the culture, it's okay. It will turn a more amber color in a few days. If it's over 14 days and it's still white, then something is wrong. Perhaps there is airborne mold or the culture was not started correctly. white layer > >hello my collegues, i would like to ask: >on the top of my mushroom i have seen white part (film quite thick).
