Guest guest
Thanks Celia! I will check into Dr. Doyle. If anyone can see Mias Xrays what do they look like to you? I guess more than just the curve on the Xray we are concerned with the hump on the R side of her spine. This is from the rotation of her spine. The orthopedic at 's admitted this much but not what to do about it other then his "You may just have to accept the hump.".... ia
Guest guest
Hi ia, I think mentioned a doctor who does serial casting at the Children's Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. I think the doctor's name was Dr. Doyle. They have done and will continue to do serial casting as far as I can tell. Is Alabama close ??? I'm from Canada, I know nothing about U.S. geography. Guest guest
I think he needs to " just accept " that fact that he is incredibly ignorant. I mean that in a good way... okay slightly smug way, but honestly, the way our society is, he was taught to think that way so its not entirely his fault... unless he just chooses not to learn. > Thanks Celia! Guest guest
It's Dr. J. Doyle and Dr. ??? Conklin - . On our first visit, Dr. Doyle mentioned that they have indeed done serial plaster casting and will do it. We liked Dr. Doyle very much. Again, though, some may find his approach a bit conservative. Of course, that will depend on the numbers. At a certain Cobb and RVAD, he may be appropriately aggressive. We were at 25 Cobb and 10 RVAD and he recommended a repeat visit in 6 months. Alabama is in the southeastern United States. As a reference, find the Florida "finger" (peninsula) jutting out and "dividing" the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic. Alabama is to the left of Florida, 1/3 of the way towards Mexico "finger". It borders Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. Guest guest
Thanks , I'll remember that. I have been down to Nashville, Tennessee. I think they have the BEST food on this planet. The servings are HUGE. We stayed at the Hermitage and the Stouffer's Hotel. I've also been to San Diego ( La hoya ? ) , San Francisco, Sacramento and Seattle. Nashville topped it for food.
