Guest guest
Bridgette, At the time of the first they said it was about 50 - 60 degrees. At this latest one, Dr. Crawford told me that because of all the other things we are dealing with in regards to , he really could not give me a "degree" he also indicated that the radiologist would give me one set of numbers, he would give another, and a thrid person could give another. To be honest, right now, we are concerned with the Facial displacia the most. As for how I got them to be so clear - I took digital photos of them. When we went for the first visit, they took the xrays and brought them up on the computer screen for the dr, then left us in the room to wait. I had gone into the diaper bag for something and found that my digital camera was in there. So I took a pic. Now I make sure to pack it along with my tape recorder for every visit. Guest guest
Bridgette, The xrays look wonderful. The last xray was a little difficult to see but I could see enough. You have given me new inspiration to get Tyler into another cast. I am listening to the doctors too much and not my own instinct like I have in the past. His back is starting to look worse again. Both his doctors he sees has insisted that his back looks great and that it is now time to brace. (for everyone else he has been in three plaster casts and a brace) But he is still at a 25 degree curve as of November and since then I think his ribs are starting to curve again. So I have know idea where he is at. And they do not want to xray him again until March. He is starting to get a little rib hump again. And like I have said before most of what I have read and heard is that a curve above 20 degrees is usually progressive. I am just so scared he is losing all the correction he already got from the casts. If he got down to 10 degrees or under then I would feel better. I have another appointment with his doctor here in Oregon but it doesnt look like he is going to agree with the casting. I will have him put him in another brace and then go in search again of a doctor that will cast. I am going to get in touch with , hopefully she can maybe help me find another doctor. We will still see Dr. D'Astou but in March but until then I feel like since he is just two years old we need to do something soon. Sorry to vent. But it sounds like has been happy in her cast just like my son was. Congratulations again. Take Care Tawney
