Guest guest Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 You're only on day 3, hon. Breathe! In with the good air and all that. First of all it takes your body a bit to adjust to what you're asking it to do now. This isn't just asking for maintenance running up and down the stairs, but WORK. Which is good as it helps to force your body to change, which you want. So understand that you're adjusting and it will get better as it becomes habit. Secondly, you don't have to kill yourself all at once. There's a level where you're pushing yourself beyond comfort and to excel, and there's a level where you're pushing yourself to the big pain and that is a place where you run a risk of injury. You could likely back down on the leg press weight and still get a very good work out for now, just keeping in sight the goal to increase weight. LISTEN to your body. Make it uncomfortable, but not screaming agony. At least not until you're a few months in. Then you can try 's cardio work out from hell, which makes me wanna throw up, but feels pretty nifty. You can do this. ~Jena At 10:40 PM 6/22/2004, you wrote: >Please help everyone. This is my day 3 on BFL and in all honesty I'm >shocked. Because your muscles have to 'unlearn' what they were used to and 'relearn' what you are trying to teach them. Thats the idea behind challenging your muscles, but dont handicap them ;-) <<joni>> *Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic.* Quote
