Guest guest
You don't have to eat like a horse though some do. You can choose a few foods you would really like to have and eat only those, or even one good free meal for that day, whatever you feel most comfortable doing. The ones who eat like a horse will see slower progress than the ones who plan carefully what they will eat that day. Food should always be eaten intentionally instead of grabbing whatever is in sight. That is what the principles of BFL are trying to omit, this haphazard eating without thinking. If I had written the BFL book I wouldn't give anyone a free day till their first 12 weeks were over. At least that way they'd have enough metabolically active muscle tissue there where free day wouldn't be as harmful as it may be to someone who is just beginning. Guest guest
If you eat 1500 calories day in and day out pretty soon you will stall and not lose because your body has adjusted to your caloric intake. Now add in 'free day' - its basically supposed to be just eating more calories than the rest of the week (maybe a free mal and a few snacks) not a license as some think for afreeforallbulimicnonpurgekindaday where you stuff yourself silly till youre sick - its just like the zigzagging theory where you eat different calories on a daily basis (the weeks total is the same overall but daily its different either higher or lower by say 500 calories). You are most likely STILL making a constant caloric deficit over what you used to eat preBFL by following this line of thinking. This works because it lets your body know you arent into the next starvation mode - kind of like fooling it into thinking it doesnt have to keep storing fat for a rainy day ;-) <<joni>> *To eat is human. Guest guest
I stuffed myself silly and lost 7% body fat. if i didn't have a free day i would never have made it through the 12 weeks. in NZ > If you eat 1500 calories day in and day out pretty soon you will > stall and not lose because your body has adjusted to your caloric > intake. Guest guest
Thanks for the responses everyone! I'm going to do the free day every Saturday for a while. If I gain or don't continue to lose...I'll watch it a little more close. Thanks Again! > > If you eat 1500 calories day in and day out pretty soon you will > > stall and not lose because your body has adjusted to your caloric > > intake.
