Guest guest
Hi , I believe what you are going through is normal. Everyone hits that point at least once or twice or more in their first 12 weeks especially. I took me 5 attempts and 5 years to complete one 12 week challenge because every time I screwed up I would quit, I too figured if I wasn't doing BFL perfectly why bother. Well I am here to tell you once I started focussing on progress that was when I succeeded. I am in my second challenge now and it not easy but it is now simple, I just do the work follow nutrition for life and see what happens, the results do come. I suggest you re-read part 2 of the book, Crossing the Abyss, it has many of the answers to your question. It will help you move through this. You are doing fine just keep moving forward. Guest guest
What said was exactly right. I once heard someone compare a weight loss journey to a car trip. She said if I was going on a long journey and had to stop, I wouldn't just stay in that place forever, or turn around and go home. I'd stop and rest, then continue on to my destination. Your destination is the end of 12 weeks - keep driving! Also, 's post on cheaters is a must read for anyone having trouble with wanting to quit when things aren't perfect: http://www.skwigg.com/wow/id28.html in NZ C1W12D7 > Is it normal to have a bumpy first week? I am a perfectionist and > feel that if I mess up (which I did yesterday, pretty badly) I am > doing everything wrong. But then I have to stand back and say that > it is going to be hard concidering this is a new way of life and you > have to make changes. You just can't expect to change over > night...right? Then I have to remind myself, Progress not > perfection! I just hope that I can change soon so I can be > successful in 12 weeks! > I was just wondering if this is all normal, and if anyone can > identify with my feelings. Guest guest
Wow, thanks for that! I have only been trying for 2 years to finish (a PERRRRRFEEECT) Challange. You give me so much hope!!!! I think I have tried 4 times with various degrees of success, but never finished. I think maybe I should try to do 12 1 week challanges in 12 weeks I really need to finish this one. I hope you all will keep me in line! Today is W1D7 > Hi , > I believe what you are going through is normal.
