last night i tried to do some segments from kari anderson's " reach " .

there are three segments on the dvd... standing work (balance,

strength, flexibility and posture), floor work and then a final

stretch that also incorporates balancing.

i did the standing portion (30 mins) and final stretch (8 mins).

this workout is ballet-based, with some yoga fused into it, and i

found the exercises to be hard at 11:30 PM! i should have done just

a simple stretching routine, but it has been a while since ive used

this dvd, so that is why i picked it. it was tough and i had alot

of trouble balancing last night. ive done this one before, and

found it challenging, but really need to schedule it in the morning

or evening and not so late at night! oh well, at least i did

something! LOL.

kari is a fabulous instructor and her form and instructions during

her workouts is impeccable... this one is no exception. if you like

to do ballet exercises then you will really like this workout! im

not into ballet that much but i still like this workout.... this one

is quite a bit harder than her 'angles lines & curves' workouts, imo.

anyway, i like kari so much that she is about the only instructor

who entices me to try their choreographed step workouts... i ordered

her " push " step workout from amazon and will try it later this month.

even though the step choreo will be dancy (which is usually not my

thing, i trip all over the place) i expect that her instruction will

see me through (lets hope that this really will be true! LOL)

:*carolyn.
