Hi,

I'm new to the group and have been finding it all very fascinating.

Thank you very much to KH in Montreal for mentioning New Directions the

other day! I've tried to write to you directly, but the emails came

bouncing back. I live in Labrador and would be interested in

corresponding directly about Canadian suppliers and resources as

shipping in from BC gets to be very prohibitive timewise!

Thanks!

Welcome to the group, and I'm glad to hear you're fascinated -- natural

perfumery is a lovely art.

You may be new to groups and not realize it's considered bad form to

contact other members privately without their invitation. Also, exchange of

information is meant to be public, hence the idea of a group ;-) so you may

ask your questions in the forum so all Canadian members may benefit. HTH.

Hi,

I would like to add that I too have benefited from KH in Montreal's information

and have tried to e-mail privately only to get them bounce back as well. Sorry

I didn't think to use the group to say thank you beforehand!

Is it a social security number? I'm trying to order

online and the order form includes it. Also, they

seem to have the best price for boronia I can find--

has anyone tried it?

I checked this out because it intrigued me why they

would be asking you for this. It is under the heading

of Company Details, so I think what they're asking for

is your Tax ID, if you were a company trying to buy

wholesale for instance. BUt it's an optional field so

you don't have to include it. Maybe it's some Canadian

requirement. But as far as I know, in the U.S., even

if you're buying wholesale for resale, they don't need

to have that information.

I actually just ordered from them and it was considered an optional

field. Perhaps because I don't own a company, I'm just a hobbiest,

but I didn't have to include any insurance or social security info.

>Hello ,

I'd like to make a correction on the reply I sent to you. I realized

they have branches in San Francisco, London and Sydney as well as

Canada.

Found the catalog, it's a 2004 WoW! but it does state that this policy

is strickly inforced since 9/11 I spoke to the Canada branch and since

others in this group have ordered, not needing this, then its no

problem . I just thought I'd call San Francisco though and see what

they say and update my catalog, The lady I spoke to chuckled and

didn't even know that was asked .Ha! Anyway ,she said not to worry

about adding that ,its not needed.
