Hi everyone, I have not seen this subject brought up, but my PA-C and I are having a discussion on when, or if, Pts s/p Roux-en-Y bypasses can begin taking regular pills without crushing them. How about extended-release pills that tend to be very large (i.e.: ER-Depakote). Our major concern is the

possibility of large meds obstructing the stoma. Any and all responses are appreciated!! Thanks! PattiPatti Kuberski, RD, CNSDBariatric DietitianBariatric Surgery
