As part of their protocol AFTER the gastrograffin test they were mixing unsweetened BLUE kool-aid in with their clear liq and protein shakes as a precautionary measure. (This allows staff to look for this blue color in the patients drain.) Kool-Aid is no longer making a BLUE kool- aid and our surgeons at the moment are not willing to change protocol. This protocol was set up when the program first started, I am hoping that they will reconsider if other programs are not doing this. Are any of your programs doing this or something similar.
