HA! reminds me of a story last week told by a person who was the former billing manager of the OHSU medical group. She had to custom design billing tickets so they would fit the pocketof each Doc's clinic jacket and so the Doc could understand how to bill for every service. Wouldn't it be nice to have somebody at your office doing a similar task? How many of you out there treat a hospital "coding specialist" in your practice? Had a Providence employee tell me she was enjoying her $750 bonus paid out so her employer wouldn't get in trouble for their "nonprofit" status. Seems Providence made a hefty profit even after buying Willamette Falls(Hospital that is, y) and building all their additions. R Johansen D.C. Anyone have any info on what a “multidisciplinary pain evaluation” involves?

Ron, When I was on the "Mad as Hell" doctors panel, the clinic administrator and doctors all said there was one billing specialist (full time) per doctor in each office. That is the only way to keep up with the BS of 500+ insurance companies and all of their games. Ann Goldeen
