Guest guest
Helen: I cry for those poor people in Fla, they cannot go much longer, and another hurricane on its way, Intolerable for older folks came out fine, only flooding at the end of the street and she had put lots of ice in the freezer to keep it cold, had no electric when I called her on Sunday. Friend Ron E-mailed from Ocala yesterday, visibally shaken, he was in La Quinta, taken refuge in a hotel. E-mailed that they had gotten a tree into their house and it was horrible down there. Other people I know are fine Thank the Good Lord. Lov e Anne

How ya doing??? ((( Caring Hugs ))) Helen Helen, It has been a wet couple of days here in Eastern NC but nothing major. Still trying to find out how my friends down in Florida made out. Those I have heard from are mostly without power but okay other than the stress and exhaustion taking its toll - especially with Ivan lurking about. Thanks for checking Shirley May today there be peace within you.May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. Guest guest
I am not near Ivan, but up in NYS, we generally get heavy rain later on My best friend Bill lives in New Orleans, He has gone to a hotel just in case as N.O. would be in deep trouble if Cat 5 hits, the great pumping system could not help it, he is between the gulf and Lk Pontchartraine, with the Mississippi nearby I worry about his wife, she has stage 4 cancer and is due for her Chemo on Friday. No, he and I do not have THAT kind of relationship, just very good friends except when we get into arguments about the Civil War! We just tell each other about interests, current events and so on ,so PLEASE! One thing I have learned ,never never never get into an argument with a tried and true Southerner about who won the Civil War, a Northerner has lost before it starts!
