Guest guest
, I really would seek the advice of the FDA. This is a very dangerous problem. Maybe a three way call with United, the pharmacy, and you? Let them know you'll be alerting the FDA? Who else does this stuff....um....Certainly the attorney general....I'd make a letter up and send it out to every public official I could think of. I can't offhand think of the insurance licensing place, but they may be interested as well. If you run low go to the ER...the only thing we can do in such situations. I pray this doesn't put you in danger. Hugs, Medco saga HelloMedco called and insists that they never received the Lantus or the Metformin order and that I have to mail in new 'scripts. Well, I had the Doctor call in 'scripts to Walgreens so that I would at least have something and guess what, United refused to pay for the Metformin or the Lantus, the printout said that the reason was that the purchase was too soon after the last refill on Aug. 12th. Excuse me, Aug. 12th is the order Medco claims they never received! and now United is saying that they did!!!! The Metformin is only $30 some odd dollars but the Lantus is expensive. Since I have a vial and a half of Lantus but am out of Metformin, I bought the Metformin from Walgreens but left the Lantus. Hopefully, this will be resolved before I run out.Regards,~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~ The Being Sick CommunityMessage Archives-/messagesChat:- Scheduled Chats at /chatBookmarks:-Add a website URL you have found useful./links Personal Complaints or problems:-Please contact a moderator email: -owner Subscription Details:-1) Individual email - means that every email sent to the list you receive.2) Daily Digest - sends you 25 messages in one single email for you to browse. Guest guest
Hello OK, now that I've got a response from the FDA who just says that the pharmacies are regulated by the State they are in; Medco faxed my Doctor some forms but they faxed in two forms with different return fax numbers. Since there were two numbers, the Doctor just replied to both. Guess what, now the website shows two sets of prescriptions getting ready to be shipped?!?! I guess the FDA must've sent them an inquiry as to what's going on and that scared them enough to do something but Medco is obviously messed up and two different departments decided to handle the issue. Of course, now that two weeks has passed, none of this will be sent out in time. Hopefully, I can coordinate the shipment while I'm in Brazil such that the insulin doesn't get left out in the heat, but then the last time I told them to leave the package at the apartment office, they just left it at my door. I'm hesistant to call them again, with my luck they would just cancel both orders instead of just one. Regards,
