Guest guest
For calves I do 12 on each side and do them consecutively without a break. I break after doing both sides like normal. question about changing sides > Well Today was my first lower body workout. I think I did ok. I need to raise some of the weights, because today was a lot of testing since I never did it before. I have a question though. On the exercises like the one leg calf raises, where you work one leg at a time, what are you supposed to do for your reps? For the first set, do you do 6 on one leg and 6 on the other, or do you do 12 each? And if you do 12 each, do you take a minute break? Any suggestions? > > > >
Guest guest
You do 12 on each side with no break in the middle. After all, you're working one leg at a time, so there's no need for a break until you've done both " sides " . Phoenix > Well Today was my first lower body workout. I think I did ok. Guest guest
Or, if you're really " accurate " for a one minute rest, start your stopwatch after the first side! Guest guest
damn, that hadn't occurred to me, I've been splitting my lunges up into 6 on each leg - I doubt I can physically DO 12!! in NZ > > Well Today was my first lower body workout. I do walking lunges (they are really hard). I guess on any exercise I do that does the arms or legs separately, I go back and forth between each leg or arm. An exception to that would be concentration curls, I do each arm separately, and I have always waited a full minute after finishing with both arms. Now that I think of it, a couple years ago (when I worked out at home) I used to do one legged calf lifts. I always waited the minute. Am I doing this wrong and not getting as intense a work-out as I should? Thanks,
