Guest guest
You know, if you take 95% ethanol and distill it carefully, you can naturally produce a 96% ethanol solution - this is in fact the maximum percent (96%) possible by conventional distillation, so it happens naturally. All you need is a still that you think is safe enough to handle the distillation of an already flammable liquid (double boilers at least) and the courage to do what, I believe, is likely to be illegal (i.e., purification of ethanol via distillation). For about $130 you can get an all-glass still that might (?!) be perfect for this. Just boil over and recondense your alcohol and use the distillate which should be close to 96% (you can always re-distill to make sure).
