Guest guest Posted April 21, 2004 Report Share Posted April 21, 2004 Hello! My name is and I am a SAHM to 6 boys ranging in ages from 1to 17. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism about 3 weeks ago.I amcurrently taking Synthroid for it. I am also taking Oscal as my calcium levels came back low. So far the Synthroid hasn't seemed to make much of a differencefor me. Matter of fact I have felt worse since being on it. My doctor has already cut my dose in half (from 100 to 50).Most days it seems to be an effort to even breathe as my energy level is almost zilch.Most of the time I feel like I could just drop. Some of my symptoms include: insomnia,weak and shaky,cold handsand feet rapid/irregular heart beat,lightheaded,itchy skin,weightgain.....I could go on and on.LOL I also suffer with Mitral Valve Prolapse and Menieres Disease and am currently in the middle of finding out what all else is wrong with me.I feel so much older than 37!!!!!! To be honest I feel like I am dying and I am becoming more andmore depressed everyday.It is hard being a good wife and mother when I feel like I do 24/7.For some reason the nights are the worst on me. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this group.I will takeall of the support I can get.Since this is all new to me I am scared to death of what is happening and what is yet to come.
