Hi All! Any recommendations regarding a specific type of mortar and

pestle that works best? There is a variety available, with various

surfaces...Thanks!!

Sharon...you may find that collecting a selection of different-textured

mortar & pestles will prove useful!

I've had given to me, or purchased myself, four different styles over the

years, from an antique wooden set, to a very heavy granite set and find I use

all four pretty consistently depending upon how gently or

crushingly-pulverizing I need my botanicals or whatever, ground-up. ~Carol

I use a handmade shallow wooden bowl and a found granite stone, the size

of a large egg to grind my spices and herbs..

Worked in the stone age, still works now..
