Guest guest
I have what can only be described as " a mountain " of Splenda on my cottage cheese and berry mixture. I've never seen any ill effects on either my muscle definition or my brain. ....blink, twitch :-) Splenda and other sugar substitutes Should I be watching how many calories of how much Splenda or other sugar substitutes I am consuming? How much is too much? What is a safe 'limit'? Thanks, Asia
Guest guest
, Have you ever heard of anyone being allergic to Splenda or having any effects from it. I have recently started using it. I have gotten a white welt on my tongue. I am pretty sure it is after eating anything with Splenda in it. Maybe my body just has to get used to it? Something new and foreign to it? I hope so, cause I sure do like my sweets. Celine:) Splenda and other sugar substitutes Should I be watching how many calories of how much Splenda or other sugar substitutes I am consuming? Guest guest
Splenda is made out of sugar (sucralose) and it has some maltodextrin (corn starch) in it to give it the same volume as table sugar when you measure or pour it. It's not very likely that you're allergic to sugar, and maltodextrin is in everything. What are you putting the Splenda on? Maybe you're allergic to berries or something else you've been eating? You can read about Splenda at the web site: http://www.splenda.com/page.jhtml?id=splenda/products/faq.inc There's some more detailed research and safety stuff in the section for Healthcare Professionals. And I don't know who this guy is but he has a pretty thorough comparison of the different artificial sweeteners. http://www.wbng.com/data/web_4324.shtml Re: Splenda and other sugar substitutes , Have you ever heard of anyone being allergic to Splenda or having any effects from it.
