Guest guest
OK, this came up in a conversation. Where do the chemicals that are used in the perfumes come from? This person was telling me that the chemicals are collected from human armpits then somehow refined for the perfume industry. Since I never have, and never will, incorporate such substances into my perfumes, I'm wondering if y'all think they are considered " natural " , and if you would put them in your perfumes. Or, is what they told me all baloney, and the stuff is from a lab? Either way, feh. I'll stick with the natural stuff I know. (Using a little mind bleach right now to get the image of " harvesting " that stuff out of my mind.) The pheromone chemicals I believe that is what you are asking are synthetic from a lab. No these are not armpit juice, not animal juice etc. Lab stuff... I taught a Natural Fragrance class at the U of WA in the women's center years, years ago. I taught the difference between the naturals and the synethetics and duplicating a synthetic eau de toilette with naturals. I had received samples of perfumes from a House of Guerlain perfumer. Anyway the off shoot of that was my explaining First as the first fragrance to contain pheromones. This is how it is advertised anyway. The next thing I know I am custom blending natural parfums. At the time I was an aromatherapist so it was a nice side line. Well after the whole parfum with pheromones thing...people wanted these. So I got in some " synthetic pheromones " and sold the concentrates for male and female, and 5 blends with the pheros. Email me off line as I still have some of this stuff in a box... I don't know if it is psychological or what but it did work...I had people calling and telling me the results and laughing. I tried some on for myself.. What a hoot..... Tune in next week... Hello Mauro, Thanks for your interesting commentaries. Could you elaborate on the statement above? Do you mean that an individual who produces stronger pheromones will also absorb them to a greater extent? Thanks, e
