Guest guest
Hmm..well, I've smelled Lime/linden/vanilla, and thought it smelled absolutely smashing.

Guest guest
Ok, so I did my trial and my first blend is sitting here thinking about developing and synergising - it smells a little discordant atm. I'll post the recipe once I've smelt the final product... But HELP - the linden blossom was like tar. Even after gently warming in a cup of warm water, then hot water... it was still really hard to work with! It is not a dilution like the mimosa is, as my supplier said that the LB doesn't mix with carrier oils that well... but I can't keep using it the way it is! SJ: a decent sandalwood is on my shopping list, along with clary sage and a good geranium . And oakmoss for that matter! Thanks for your help. I have 'both' types of Linden Abs.. the one that is like a 'labdanum/oakmoss' consistancy that you definitely need to tincture and work with. though the one on my site is the 'pourable' Linden .. this has me thinking I will put both on the website and let the 'customer' choose. Guest guest
The linden that I have is like tar . I'm still working on that one - any ideas where I can get perfumers alcohol or similar in Australia? The lime is CP and quite tart to the nose. The vanilla is an absolute in glycerine. It smells like lollies. I've been wearing this blend to work and it makes me feel happy and sweet but not girly like vanilla usually does. Guest guest
Adulterated material is not so easily detected through the nose. I would be very surprised to find any product from Sunrose to be synthetic. I have never found any other suppliers that expend as many exhaustive efforts as nne when it comes to assuring her clientele that they are purchasing pure, genuine and complete oils absolutes etc. I think it is always best to be able to back up negative assertions with more than a subjective reaction. Guest guest
re: linden my perception was that it was not a true oil. this is based on years of smelling true oils and recently smelling custom perfumes which have been formulated with fragrance oils. there is a definate smell to fragrance oils and they cling in a way that no essential oil clings, not even the heaviest of base notes. quality is so subjective. in the end it's best to follow your nose and your own personal response. samples are a good habit before ordering larger quantities, especially if you are sensitive. roxana
