Meeting Bill

Well, it took 2.5 hours of standing in line at Borders Bookstore

where they required you to buy one of his books in order to get

anything signed. Kinda reminded me of a Disneyland line. But we

weren't there for the signing, we were there for the town meeting.

Unfortunately, the town meeting turned into about 2-4 minute chats

with Bill once you waited in line.

In the end it was insightful to see the cross section of the people

that were there, and most importantly my wife and I got to meet Bill

in person. He seemed like a very genuine person. He certainly is

patient, and really wanted to hear what people had to say. I was glad

we took the time to meet him. I also had the opportunity to give him

my two ideas on making America the healthiest country in 10 years.

He was a bit shorter than I expected, but being 6'4 " , everyone

usually is! ;-)

Well, he seems to have genuinely liked my ideas. We'll see.

I am currently in decent shape (by my own stringent standards), so it

was nice to hear from Bill himself when he said " wow, you look

great! " I said " I am trying " , he said " no, you're doing it! "

Statments like that from a person I respect fuel my fire and inspire

me to reach deeper inside myself to do more. His leadership

qualities and charisma were evident. More inspirational leaders like

him are what make the world a better place. It's nice to know that

he's taking his success and trying to help people. He clearly

understands the important aspects of life.

I'm not sure if you have seen any of his videos but I bought Body of Work

a few months ago and loved watching it. He came across so sincere and so

down to earth that that in itself is motivational because you feel like

you can relate to him. I found his books easy to read as well. He comes

off so laid back and demonstrates a desire to help people and not everyone

can do that.
