Guest guest Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Hi! I guess I did this backwards; replied to another msg., THEN decided I should send an intro. Sorry! Anyway, I used to sprout the usual mung beans & alfalfa way back when... (I'm not telling!) But since those didn't thrill me much, and they were all I could get in my area at that time, I quit. I ran across my old sprouter recently, & a couple of days later went to the local health food store where I overheard someone talking about sprouting seeds available at the store, so I decided I would try again. I chose some wheatberries because the clerk said he sprouted those & liked them. I tried them, and now I'm hooked! I have since sprouted some brown rice, quinoa, sesame, and more lovely, tender, sweet wheat. I've been throwing my sprouts into everything from salad and soup to stir fries, mashed potatoes, pasta dishes, even desserts. Yum! The reason I joined this group is that I am looking for even more ways to use sprouts. Does anyone have favorite ways or recipes they like to serve their sprouts? I'd love to hear them! Thanks!
