If you are using 1.9A, you may be clicking on the Go button, when you should not. That will cause you to be short a minute (only on the first channel). Make sure that you are aware that the graphs are actually 3 points connected by 2 lines. There is a first point, a middle point and a third point.

Try e-mailing me with an attached file of a couple of the xlf files (they'll be in the C:\brainm\studies folder, inside the folder with the name you used when gathering the assessment data. I'll see if I can figure anything out from looking at them.

Another problem with assessment

Pete:I haven't had a chance to implement your suggestions re not being able to run the assessment but will do asap.Meanwhile I just went into the BM review screen to look at the graphs of an assessment I did on my daughter this morning. I am absolutely certain that I did the sessions in 3 minute intervals: eyes closed, eyes open, and then suggested tasks. But on the graphs, only the first sum shows 3 minutes. The others showed two minutes. Yesterday I did a practice assessment on my husband (who is more patient than my daughter). I just checked his summaries and all of them show only 2 minutes. Does anyone know what this means? Is there something wrong with my software? Do I have to run the assessments again? I can't tell which 2 minutes were recorded, the first 2 or the last 2.Thanks for your help,

I have some ideas on what might be happening, and

things to take care of it. Is this 2.0 or earlier software?

Is it possible you ran for not quite a full 3 minutes? Are you

stopping the session manually, or using a timed interval

using the Session Control panel?

If you run the session for just under 3 minutes, this might happen,

with the original software. If it sees less than 60 seconds, it

won't show the run, using the April 2003 release of 2.0

However, the latest software now shows partial runs as well

as full runs. So if you get the 2.0 SE software and try it

out, you might see the " missing " data. If the data are in

the file, then we can see it.

Or if you want to send the data to support@... using

Session Librarian, we can take a look at it and see what

is going on.

Pete:

Yes, I am in 1.9A and I was clicking the Go button. Should I have

been clicking Record? When doing training I rarely use BM, always

use animation pro, which accounts for my ignorance.

Only a portion of your email address appears on the web messages so I

can't email you any sample xlf files. They are on my laptop, which

is not online. But if you send me your email, I can get them to you.

Thanks,

I'm sorry for mis-stating this. Brain was in a lower gear than my fingers, I guess. What with 2.0 and BioExplorer, I don't use 1.9A for assessments or training much either any more.

You are correct. You must click "GO" to link up the BrainMaster to the software. It's "PLAY" you do not click. Clicking Play will cause the first minute of data to reset in Channel 1 and you'll get zeroes there.

My e-mail address is pvdtlc@.... Send the files, and I'll take a look at them.
