Guest guest
Don't forget about Biotin for hair loss. It's the vitamin for skin, hair and nails. I wonder if it might not help with the dry skin as well. J. Bragg RD, LD AnnistonNutrAssoc@... dry skin, low carb bars, flax seed Hi everyone,I have a patient that is reporting very dry skin, white and flaky despite using lotion all the time. She is wondering if she can start taking EFA tablets in the hope that it will help her dry skin. She is about 4 months out from surgery. Any thoughts on taking these supplements or ideas on ways to help combat the dry skin?Which protein bars do you recommend to your patients when they are advanced to a solid food diet?Does anyone recommend flax seed to help with hair loss? I know that it happens regardless around 2-3 months and will re-grow, but I have some patients who have asked about that and B-6 to help combat hair loss. Thanks for all of the imput. Guest guest
Evening primrose oil may(??) be beneficial with respect to dry skin. Evidence is not conclusive. Guest guest
I think I have posted this website once or twice before but I like their products. Wonderlabs.com has a sublingual B12, B6, folate and biotin combo. You get 250 for $18.50. I also have a couple of patients that use whole flax seeds and grind them as needed. Seems to really work for them.
