Guest guest
Foxx, I 've been using the flextrodes for a few weeks now and they seem to work well. I use them at home on my sons and can have them all set up and ready to go in the short windows my sons have available to train. I had to cut wholes to use them for T3-T4. I unscrew the ends of the flextrodes and then I soak the ends of the flextrodes I will be using that day. I use the small round container BMr provided and soak them for at least an hour in the same solution that you spray on the scalp and hair. When I'm finished training I let the damp flextrodes dry out on white paper towels before I put them away. They are very fast to apply and remove without scalp clean-up. My kids like that. I'm not sure if I will use them for clients at the office I work in. Would you have to change the cotton for every patient to be sanitary? I'm not sure. Hope this helps, Jane On Friday, December 3, 2004, at 05:47 PM, Foxx wrote: > Is there anyone on the list who is using flextrodes successfully? > > I am not at all sure that I am putting them together properly, it seems > cumbersome, but Brainmaster has not answered several requests for > directions. > > Thanks, Foxx > > > > >
Guest guest
hello foxx, yes, i am using flextrodes on a regular basis. i usually get very good signals and impedances and clients often like it more than having paste in their hair. btw, i am using some felt cloth to put around the electrode, so changing the cloth between clients is very easy and fast. i find it important to clean the electrodes regularly and not leaving them in the saline solution. however my feeling is, that the electrodes do not last quite as long compared to times i only used paste. if you have any specific questions i can answer, i would gladly do so. best stephan odermatt, switzerland >Message: 8 > Date: Fri, 3 Dec 2004 15:53:49 -0700 > From: " Foxx " <foxx@...> >Subject: flextrodes > >Is there anyone on the list who is using flextrodes successfully? > >I am not at all sure that I am putting them together properly, it seems >cumbersome, but Brainmaster has not answered several requests for >directions. > >Thanks, Foxx > > >[This message contained attachments] > > > >________________________________________________________________________ >________________________________________________________________________ > > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >
Guest guest
You might want to check around and see if you can find someone locally who has an impedance meter. It's often quite a shock to see how much resistance to current flow there is with unprepped sites. If you spend the 3-5 minutes it should take you to place standard electrodes on prepped sites, you should be able to consistently run impedances below 10, while I'll bet your impedances may be in the 50 to 100 range.
