Rosemary: I hope this helps. I too do not have a gallbladder. I just

had some blood work done and the only thing that was out of line on my liver

panel was AST of 38 normal 2-35 they were not concerned and I did see my

pcp yesterday and she ordered Thallium stress test and some bloodwork on

pancreas and something else but was not concerned about liver. I told her I

take good care of my at risk liver and told her I do not take aspirin or

tylenol and she said good don't. That was the end of the visit until I have

these test run and also she ordered bone density test. Phyllis

Rosemary,

I am so glad your health is good. I had my surgery Friday, March 1, 2002. I

am feeling pretty good. Taking baby steps and sips! I am really recovering

well and hope to be back to work soon.

Thanks for thinking about me.

Hi Betty,

Just a few words to say hello. Hope you are well. We had a great time

at Disney, it was worth it to see the baby he was so excited, he knows all of

the characters from his tapes and TV . It was so much walking and the heat

was very hot, I got all blusters on my toes. But before MGB I would have

never been able to walk and keep up, thank God I did this. Now I must make

a decision about my P S soon. How are things there with you and your family?

I always say a prayer for you and yours when I pray for mine.

My Dearest Rosemary,

I just read your story and it brought tears to my eyes. You must miss your

Vinnie so much. I know he is so proud of you and what you have

accomplished. I can just see him bragging to our Heavenly Father about how

good you look and how proud he is of you, and about how you are helping

other people to reach for their dream.

Thanks for sharing your 2nd anniversary with us.

In His hands,

Kathy in NM

Rosemary, I don't know - but you're here now. It may have something

to do with the fact this board is moderated and that it sometimes

takes longer than a day for a post to appear.

Anita,

I live in New York, and had my plastic surgeries here. I wish I

would have gone to NC. But this was closer to my kids, and in a way

thank God I did because I had to keep going back and forth to the

doctor I got an infection when I did the arms. The arms were a long

recovery. I was alergic to the darn thing they make you wear, and I

went through hell because I had to keep it on. Thank God I listened

to Dr. Rutledge and only did one thing at a time and in the

hospital.I am older and I think when you are younger things go much

easier, I had a breastlift in May, and I cannot tell you how painful

this was for me, other people say it was a piece of cake. I may not

have waited long enough to recover from the arms which were done the

end of December. So far the way I feel, I do not want to do anything

else. I need a tummy tuck and under my chin done, but I do not think

I will end up doing them. If I was younger maybe I would. But

everyone is different. The medication I was talking about is for

nerves, I have been having panic attacks, and I just do not want to

depend on medication and get addicted to anything. Thank God I have

been doing much better now. Thank God I feel my husband watching

over me from above, and it helps me so much.

Just remember everyone is different, things effect different people

different ways. I do not know your age, but things may be easy for

you. You have to go see different surgeons and see what they say and

how you like them. Be sure before you choose one. Good luck. Let

me know.

Rosemary, thank you so very much for your support and prayers. Since the itching seems to be gone, it must mean that the stent is helping with the bile flow. My labs look better too! I must return to Shands on the 20th for another ERCP to check the stent. I send happiness smiles and blessings to you.

This is the first I've heard of Rosemary being a possible problem for

seizures, could you explain a little bit more about why you are not

supposed to have (eat) it?

,

I heard that you should stay away from sage, but didn't know about rosemary. I

believe that this is only if these herbs are triggers for the person with

epilepsy because, I'm sure that we've had both in spaghetti sauce and other

sauces and it didn't affect . I guess you have to use with caution?

yes I have heard of it in sage too. I dont seem to have a problem with

it for I have used the sage in my stuffing and once a year I have to

have it. I think it really depends on the person too.

I still eat rosemary but never had a reaction from it.

Bernard this is info for herbal essential oils. But if you cant have

it on your body you also are suppose to be careful with eating it too.

I have not had any problems with it, but then again I have it once in

a great while. But I am going to be a little more cautious with creams.

I believe everyone is different when it comes to certain things that

triggers our seizures. I personally have not had problems but then

again I use rosemary and sage very little in my household.

Alyson,

I just bought this book " Prescription for Herbal Healing " and it does state

that people with epilepsy or seizure disorders should stay away from Rosemary

and sage. It does not say why but it does say that it is used for several

conditions sucah as Alzheimer's deiseas, cancer, circulatory problems,

indigetion and menstrual cramps, irritable bowel syndrome and yeast infections.

It also states that Rosemary is a potent antioxidant, antiseptic and

antispasmodic and that in euoropean countries it is used for ills including

nervous disorders. I don't know how much I believe in everything that is

written in this book as I noticed that in another book written by Phyllis Balch

titled " Prescription for Nutritional Healing " in that book under seizure

disorders, it states that you should take supplemental zinc for seizure

disorders, but in her herbal book she says to stay away from it, so this

bothered me, because I've been giving my daughter zinc supplements and she's

been fine with it, but

she's contradicting herself because both books were written by her and her

husband. I guess what I'm saying is, don't believe everything you hear or read,

test it for yourself because what may be a trigger for someone may not be for

another.

Thanks grace, I was wondering what aspect forced people into seizure. Everything

has different affects on people so I realize there will probably be different

answers. I am just reading the comments people have within this group, people

that have used it or have not. I guess not only the chemical constituents which

I understand can have adverse affects, but also in aromatherapy it stimulates

brain function. I know that Ginko Biloba gave me a seizure and thats becaue it

increased my circulation to the brain and there was too much stimulation. It

could be a number of reason with the rosemary, but I guess it's different for

everyone, I certainly have not had a problem and use essential oils religously

as far as aromatherapy goes. But then again I am my own test subject.

Dear Anita,

Maybe we don't want to know anyone from our past! LOL If someone hasn't

thought of me in 25 years and suddenly wants to re-connect, all I can say is

" Where have you been all my life? " LOL

Yes we do have to be careful, lest they also carry viruses and worms from

malicious people who have nothing to do but create evil.

Blessings and stay safe,

Lottie
