I doubt if I > could sleep in that kind of environment. Right, I thought the same thing! But I have been in for sleep tests twice now, once for the original test and one for the " titration, " and can tell you it is possible to sleep with all those contraptions on. Many people complain more about the " cure, " which involves sleeping with a CPAP (continuous positive air pressure) machine strapped to one's face. The machine is loud, but no louder than an air conditioner. I have found it relatively easy to get to sleep with the thing on my face, but the PA has me so damn tired I think I could sleep next to railroad tracks -- I say go in for the test and see what happens -- you'll never know if you can get to sleep under those conditions until you try, after all. Hope this helps -- from New Jersey _________________________________________________________
Guest guest
Regarding being able to sleep wired up in a sleep lab, I can tell you I have had 4 or 5 sleep tests over the last few years and the sleep lab is where I sleep the best. The wires and electrodes are not uncomfortable at all. I have some trouble with my CPAP mask at home but I recently got a new machine and it is very quiet. I sometimes forget it is on because I don't hear it. I get so tired from PA that losing sleep from sleep apnea is the last thing I need. I also have narcolepsy so I am fighting sleep constantly. It seems the more restful sleep I get the less narcoleptic attacks I have and I am a bit less tired. I'd say go for the sleep test. That way you'll know for sure if you have sleep apnea or not. Take care.

I took a look at the prices on the two links posted and almost fell off my chair. Genleridge was selling a quart of soap quality Emu for $45, an entire quart. She raises Emus on her farm. I've also bought her Emu soap and like it very much and have given 2 away to friends with problem skin because I didn't want them to wait for my batch before they could start using the stuff. Also on the site is a ton of information on the benefits of Emu Oil. She's based in Wisconsin. /Wiz
Guest guest
Hi all, I am new to the list and would like to ask a few questions if you don't mind. I haven't even attempted making anything yet, just trying to absorb all the information about making soap. 1. Where would I find the book by Cavitch? 2. Dumb question - what is a stick blender? 3. Another dumb one - what is the difference between cold process and hot process. Any feedback on this would be wonderful. Thanks bunches K
Guest guest
the book can be found at barnes and noble, also check your library, i found it there once before they changed everything around with their new system last year stick blender costs 10 or so, its long and you can stick in in your bowls to mush up cold process you mix, pour in molds and wait 6-8 wks or longer for the soap to finish curing, hot process, you cook and its ready as soon as it hardens up hth
Guest guest
In the Type O Caucasion list it says St. 's Wort is an MAO enzyme inhibitor. I am really ignorant about MAO enzymes or why they are important to type O or anybody. My thought is to keep on with what helps you as you look into some possibly related matters. I think I've been depressed most of my adult life. I associate that with a very Type O condition, a wavering thyroid that hovers more on the low or hypothyroid side. Also now I am about to be 56 years old. My period stopped when I was 51. I just got my thyroid truly happy (per TSH test) and simultaneously began plunging into truly dark depressions. I had been using progesterone cream from the health food store which I think really helped the thyroid. I have now added another herbal formula, Solgar's Herbal female Complex which contains 3 or 4 phyto-estrogens (dong quai, soy isoflavones, black cohosh, motherwort), an herb to keep your pituitary happy (chaste berry) and an herb to keep you liver happy (milk thistle). I feel much better! So you could look into the endocrine angle. Or, just try the diet for a while and see how you'd feel about tapering off the St. 's Wort. I'd wait at least 3 months--maybe 6--before changing what's been working for you so far unles a doc finds some endocrine problem that can be fixed. Guest guest
Hello all! Rose I think the walk and run machine you mentioned is a treadmill. Mine is motorized but I cannot walk to fast let alone run on it. I have some balance problems and at times when I get on it I get kind of dizzy but it does seem to help me quite a lot. As far as stress and CMT I do think it makes me feel pain more when I get upset over something. I have noticed too that my fatigue tends to kick in more also. As for depression I do have bad days but I think this goes with the territory I just tell myself tomorrow will be better and you know what? It ALWAYS is. Guest guest
Hi everyone, First to Bob, they do have in some states, I would think in all states, where you can apply over the phone, then they will set up an interview over the phone. Just make sure you have plenty of documentation from your doctor, It doesn't matter how much your wife makes, you are the one in need of it. So you call them, and ask for an interview over the phone, If you have to get a lawyer, 4 years, if approved, which you should be, will be retroactive. Good luck. This is what Soc. Sec. is here for, we work and do pay into it. Like I said before, they always deny the first and second time, thinking people will give up, so don't. You just get a good lawyer, the only draw back is he will get a piece of it. The main thing is do not ever give up, that is what they want. You paid into it, so you are intitled to it. I think they are a little slow with this Hep thing, some people can work, while others cannot. Hope I helped CCAMPB3234@... If you need anything please E-Mail me. Guest guest
Dear Flo, Genz, Lori, Toni, (wherever you may be)..Did I miss anyone from May 31st? Happy Anniversary to those who celebrate today. One year of enjoying day by day, this marvelous Renaissance. What an amazing year of revitalizing health. That first day and evening at Durham Regional was not exactly joyous but we were there for one another and checked in on one another. Flo was up and about room hopping. Quite a Memorial Day. At one year, I have lost 94 lbs and feel wonderful. Blood work is outstanding and endoscopy is scheduled in June. I am very grateful that at 58 years of age, I am able to say that I am in better health than in 1990. Amen. Thank you Dr. Rutledge. God's blessings to the cohorts and to all MGBers and future MGBers. Guest guest
> I don't know if it is just me, or does this >condition make you abnormally tired as well? I was tired all the time until I began to take my pulmicort regularly and also cut out wheat products (bread, and the like) from my diet. I didn't cut them out completely, but instead of eating grain three to five times at day (Every meal and every snack) I only eat grain once a day. It's amazing how much energy I have. Having said that though, nothing creates energy like a dose of prednisolone, so I realise I'm always operating under par. I once felt exceptionally well after a reaction to antibiotics after eating only raw vegetables for 24 hours. I recommend this as a quick fix for anything - just avoid those vegies that are high in salicylate. >Who thinks this illness suck? I do. I've had it all my life - diagnosed as nasal polyps at 19. Four ops under my belts so far (currently aged 44). Diagnosed as aspirin triad about 10 years ago, although I found out I was allergic to aspirin at 19 (the hard way - before then I took aspirin all the time!). all the best, Beverley Author of " The Chimaera Conspiracy " , new Australian YA action-packed sci-fi mystery novel. http://chimaera.topcities.com available from http://greaterglider.com " Getting Started with Homeschooling " and " Learning in the Absence of Education " available from http://members.ozemail.com.au/~beverleypaine/homeschool
