Guest guest
I have had two instances in which the raw brainwave on 2.0 kept stopping and starting. It would be normal and then blank for an equal amount of time. first it happened in someone's house and I had to stop a session. We turned off everything electrical and still had no luck. The second time was in my office. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on and what to do about it. Thanks a lot. Kathy Abbott
Guest guest
Kathy, Have you called and talked to Bill or Tom at Brainmaster about this? If both times of using the equipment was on different computers, then I wouldn’t think it’s a Microsoft related issue. So what you describe makes me wonder if the amplifier is having problems in your unit. Re: Alternating current? I have had two instances in which the raw brainwave on 2.0 kept stopping and starting. Guest guest
Kathy, If the clock stops when the wave stops, then your PC is halting for some reason. The data would be buffered (saved) but the feedback would be jerky. The fix for this would be to make sure your PC is not running any other programs, etc. It is also possible that the artifact rejection is kicking in. Do you see a message " Artifact detected " " Please correct EEG signal " ? The fix for this is to increase the artifact detection threshold, and to make sure you don't have motion, eyeblinks, etc. This is not a battery issue, as bad batteries would cause the system to stop altogether. If I had more detail, e.g. the duration of the blanking, is it perfectly regular, etc., I could probably suggest some more ideas.
