Gretchen,

My son was just at the physical therapist last month to work on flexibility

to get his foot to neutral for AFO'S....and she found it 'curious' that when

he laid down, his legs weren't even, and eventually figured out that he

didn't have one shorter than the other, just a pulled up hip on one side

because of the gait......Martha

Hi !

I, too, have had " fireworks in my feet " . I had this happen a few years back;

for some reason it doesn't happen anymore. I believe that feeling extremely

cold in the legs exacerbates the condition, since I used to live in an

apartment without much heat during the winter. My feet hurt so much some

nights that I could not sleep at all when this was happening. I guess it has

something to do with the CMT, and I know it is worse if I feel cold...Kathleen

yes, my feet do the same. And it just gets tighter and tighter. My hubby

found something that helps me with it..... he pulls on my toes. Sometimes

that really hurts because he forgets how little pressure I can handle. But,

it usually works.

If you try it - I hope it works for you also.

Ah yes, the fit from hell! I remember it well! Tim chose to throw his

after the wake for my sister in law. He has really come a long way this

past year. Saturday we went to a parade complete with lots of sirens. He

LOVED IT!!!! We also went to a little carnival thing and stayed 3 hours and

he was happy almost the whole time. A man had used his riding lawn mower

and old metal barrels to made the cutest little train. He rode it a few

times and when he couldn't ride it he followed it all over. To top it off we

went to " Relay for Life " a cancer fund raiser. He actually was wonderful

there ,Too! It was in front of my family!! My brother (the one who wants

me to drop him off at the pound) even said he was really good. I hope that

as Ashton gets older her fits from hell become less frequent.

>picnic there......ashton throws a fit from hell, tries to bite me and hit

>me,

Gee, my brother always thought I should be tougher on him. " If you spanked

once he wouldn't do that anymore. "

>cousin says so brightly " YOU REALLY SHOULD TREAT HER NICER AND STOP ABUSING

>HER " " SHE REALLY DOESNT UNDERSTAND " well needless to say i lost it

Happy Anniversery to all who have them. I have enough trouble sorting out

which kid is whose and their ages and gender. And a very merry un-iversery

to those of us who do this job alone. And damn adversity, full spped

ahead!!! Sharon

Dear Claudine:

Between the two of us I think we have gotten into just about every

possible article, or issue, as it becomes known. Maybe we should start a

library referral service!??? Marty

Dear ,

Thanks for the translation! I want to include a method of asking local

people what they think keeps/makes them healthy and what threatens their

health as part of the project in Stonehouse and I now have some accessible

underpinning theory!
