Maybe you can find an old area rug that someone doesn't want, Or buy

a largish cheap bathroom rug at Target or Kmart, or buy one of those

rubber mats that are supposed to go under rugs to prevent slipping.

Whould you slip around too much if you just put a blanket or sheet

under it. Or maybe a plastic tablecloth. I don't know if any of the

things I mentioned are cheaper than a yoga mat, but you might already

own something that you can use. I use ball sometimes and I love it,

it makes a good stool to sit on also., Sali

Go to the camping area of say Walmart & look for a padded mat that

you put under sleeping bags. Only $5. Mine is blue & about a 1/4

inch thick. They come rolled up, Never fold it! I keep mine flat and

store it on the tread mill or weight bench. Could be stored under the

bed or couch.

just put a bath towel on the floor, it will work just as good as a

yoga mat.
