Hi Joanne,

On your immunosciences panel which titers were high and were they IgA,

IgG or IgM? I only ask as we had these done for Jack some years back and

he only had high IgG levels which we were told not to be concerned about

as not indicative of current infection.

Hi

High IgG levels.

and very low NK cells... Natural killer cells 2.60 range 20-50.

I did ask Dr JM on CSB about this and she told me not to be all that

worried..

but seeing low NK cells to me means he cannot fight off viruses..

or they are exhausted..and need boosting.

I know in order to confirm if virus is live you need to do an

additional blood PCR test.

But you know when maternal instinct takes over...

I always blamed HHV6 as his trigger and he had all sort of wierd

unexplained viral rashes..7months - 18 months..which co-incided

with teething - (poor immune )

So its bugged me ever since because now he is nearly 6 and we are on

second set of teeth now and yet again spots around his mouth..

so ...

If the spotty rash was herpes flare ups...then I wanted to give

aciclovir a go to see what would happen.

Thats my theory anyway...

Best wishes

Joanne

I am hoping to do the Immuniscinces panel in the new year and trial the Valtrex, I am convinced Chicken Pox plays a part in Sam's downfall

Hi

Thanks for the reply...

Well I have finished the weeks course..its been an absolute

nightmare..

We did this as a weeks trial under Dr Heard.

And if these reactions are a good thing then that ok ..

Is 3 months the standard protocol for duration to try it for ..?

There is no way I am having 3 months of this behaviour it will

finish me off

Yours totally knackered and in the recovery position whilst Daddy

lets him loose in ASDA

Hi there,

I think it was Dr. McCandless stated somewhere she whished that for

some of her patients have been on Valtrex for longer periods of time

and bigger dose. I don't think that you can't tell how good this is

unless you give it a good time period. Now, having said that, Stant K

from the Mb12valtrex list saw wonderfull improvements after 3 weeks

and stayed with it for either seven or nine months. Son is recovered.

There are others who have done it for long periods as well. Is this

the standard protocol? Being honest with you, I don't even know if

there's a protocol for it.

I don't think that in our case, we have other choice. OUr son has both

IgG and IgM positives, so we have to fight these viruses. We'll stay

with it a minimun of three months.

Why don't you join the Mb12valtrex group? there are a lots of parents

who are seeing these type of responses on their children initially. I

think Mandi posted the link to it.

Cheers,

Didn;t you start the MB12 also? Probably down to that, Sam gets 100mg per day and then up to 300mg for a couple of days with clown mouth and back down again, usually fixed in 24 hours. Anita uses more than that for her lad who is about same size as Harry so see how he goes. Think DG is going to tell school to do 400mg per day when we start HB12/MB12 every day again

Hi All Since starting aciclovir 3 days ago Harry has clown mouth, how much B2 should i be giving him and should i give it once or twice a day, he weighs approx 42lbs. TIA x P.S No bad die off/side effects to report but had a positive this morning as he has just come over and said "can i have banana?" without me prompting him, this is going to be a good year, me thinks!
