Guest guest
Hi Mandi - good to have you back, hope your holiday was excellent. We are just completing the 2nd round of chelating Tom using Td-DMSA. Couple of things we learnt - always apply in one well ventilated room - stops whole house smelling! Apply, let dry, put trousers back wait 45 mins, then change trousers and wash site - stops son smelling! This stuff stinks - I keep in sealed bag, in tupperware in DH's beer fridge and you can still smell it when open fridge. Hope doesn't affect DH's beer ;-) 1st w/e we went low dose (1/3 of Dr H's dose across whole w/e) and every 4 hrs. Tom showed no ill effects. Was incredibly calm all week, much longer sentences, ABA tutors asked what I'd done to him as was doing so well on prog. This w/e thought we would try less frquent dosing so kept same low dose but gave 8 hourly. By end of 1st day Tom was in stim-land! We switched back to every 4 hours but Tom verbally and visually v stimmy and unbelievably non-compliant. Also, been using AFP-peptizide and No Fenol to help control yeast - working beautifully, no more yeasty tummy or behaviours - except the current tonne of non-compliance! Is this the sort of thing you can see from chelation? Some good rounds, some bad??? Or is this the product of bad timing of doses? Thanks Gail
