Guest guest
I so hear you . I lost around 50 pounds and have kept if off for over 2 years and have heard lots of nasty comments too. People are jealous and insecure and hate when you accomplish what they are unwilling to do. It takes hard work and discipline to lose and keep off weight and most people have more "wishbone" than "backbone". Kathy losing weight, and the resentment of others Kris and , when I lost 60 lbs I too had my share of jealous attacks. My boss at the time was morbidly obese, 350+ lbs. On my performance review she docked me because I talked about fitness a lot. She talks about church and religion all the time which is okay, but I can't talk about fitness? Should I talk about Survivor and American Idol like everyone else? My gym coordinator who was as heavy as me was also similarly stabbing when I lost weight and she was still chunky, being hyper critical when possible and really hurt my feelings. I know that Tonya in this group was also verbally attacked when she lost weight. So, that said... chin up, remain confident and believe in yourself and your goals, to hell with anyone else. At least you can still fit your ass in a normal sized office chair!

Guest guest
I remember in high school when I went on one of those ridiculous fad diets and I had lost some weight. One of my friends noticed that I lost weight and said something nice to me about it and my so-called best friend immediately changed the subject! She was NEVER my best friend, only a back-stabbing BITCH! Anyway, later on when one day I was upset about something and one girl noticed my so-called best friend says "oh she always looks like that!" This is why I never went to any of my high school reunions! Kids are definately the worst to each other. Jen kris alcs <chromechairs@...> wrote: Thanks for this . Guest guest
Interesting comments about losing weight and the resentment of others! It is amazing how if you gain weight there are people who will make negative comments to you and about you and if you lose weight the same is true!! Makes you wonder about people in general...
